On a site that has grown over decades, planning a network is rarely a purely technical question, whether in industry, chemicals or healthcare. Production, operations, the tenancy arrangements and ownership also determine which routes a fibre can take. That is where we come in.
What we take on
- Survey of the existing installation and the available routes
- Design of single or redundant fibre routes
- Coordination with production or operations
- Supervision of the works through to project completion
How we work
Redundancy has to be physically secured. Two fibres following the same route are interrupted at the same time as soon as that route is damaged. We therefore verify route diversity systematically and point out the cases where the layout of the premises does not allow it, so that the residual risk is known and accepted.
